Geveladvies excursion: Transformation facade Herman Gortercomplex Utrecht

Transformation facade Herman Gortercomplex Utrecht

This excursion is to the Herman Gortercomplex in Utrecht, which you might know from the big letters that spell ‘IK’ on top nearby the station. The building is owned by Rijksvastgoedbedrijf. This building has a rich history in which multiple architectural firms have worked on: H. Klunder Architecten, van Tilburg en Partners and Buro voor architektuur en stedebouw ir. G.A. Schilder. In the last couple of years several companies have been invested into transforming the building. The goal is to establish quality and esthetical housing for the ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid (ministry of Justice and Safety). This while being considering a low energy consumption. Geveladvies plays a role in the renovation of the façade. Interested in seeing how this is done, join the excursion and we will see you in Utrecht!
