Capital D Café is de tweede in een reeks van cafés naar aanleiding van de expositie Made in Brainport, die na Istanbul Design Week en Dutch Design Week nu bij Capital D, Design Cooperation Brainport, te bezichtigen is. Deze expositie laat heel mooi de kracht van onze ‘Slimste regio’ zien aan de hand van producten en concepten, waarin maakindustrie en design samenwerken. Het thema van dinsdag 24 januari is Public Space.

Wie voor de publieke ruimte wil ontwerpen en produceren, moet heel wat drempels overwinnen. Zeker in Eindhoven, één van de strengste gemeenten op het gebied van openbare aanbestedingen.

Tijdens deze tweede editie van Capital D Café gaan we dieper op het onderwerp in om het ontwerpers makkelijker te maken om hierin te participeren. Wendy Bak, adviseur openbare aanbestedingen bij Noesis, die dagelijks met biedingen te maken heeft vertelt over haar ervaringen. Verder bieden enkele ervaringsdeskundige ontwerpers gouden tips.

Met deze kennis biedt 2012 u wellicht nieuwe mogelijkheden om uw ideeën naar de publieke ruimte te brengen. We nodigen u graag uit om dit tijdens Capital D Café – Public Space samen met ons te onderzoeken.

Capital D Cafe is the second in a series of café’s following the exhibition Made in Brainport, After Istanbul Design Week and Dutch Design Week the exhibition can be visited at Capital D at Torenallee Eindhoven (Strijp S). It shows the strength of ’Smartest regions with products and concepts, in which manufacturing and design come together. The theme of Tuesday, January 24th is Public Space.

Anyone who wants to design and produce for public space, must overcome many barriers. Especially in Eindhoven, one of the most stringent municipality in the area of â€‹â€‹public procurement.

This second edition of Capital D Café gives you information that will make it easier to participate in it. Wendy Bak, consultant in public procurement at Noesis, which on daily basis advises in European procurement will tell about h! er experiences. Also experience-expert designers provide information and golden tips.
