Buddies

Every year, CHEOPS coordinates the buddysystem. The goal is to integrate exchange students with the Dutch students and we hope that new friendships will be made.

How does it work?

Before you come to Eindhoven you have to arrange all the paperwork and during this process you will receive the question whether you want to have a buddy or not. It’s up to you to decide. All you have to do is answer this question and we will receive all the information we need.
A few weeks before the start of the semester we receive a list with all the students that would like to have a buddy. Among the Dutch students we promoted the buddysystem and hopefully we have enough buddies. We will make pairs of students and give your e-mailadress to you Dutch buddy.
He or she will contact you by e-mail and together you can arrange to meet one another in Eindhoven or perhaps answer some questions already. When you have arrived in Eindhoven there will be an official welcome by the faculty where CHEOPS will also tell about their activities. Afterwards there will be a tour through Vertigo, the building of the faculty.

Other activities

An excursion through Eindhoven is organized every semester. In this excursion small groups are formed and asked to prepare a short presentation of a building. Every group wil present one building during the excursion.
If you have ideas for other activities don’t hesitate, but come to CHEOPS and tell us about your idea. Perhaps we can help each other to realize your idea.
